Dear all,
For many years we have been able to welcome
many guests who all were happy with their stay
at Finca Verde. All enjoyed the familiar atmosphere
in the green north of Tenerife. Our secret:
Our guests are most important for us!
Our extensive and positive experience has encouraged
us to go further and create new offers in order
to make our guests happy.
The Finca-Verde-Newsletter is designed to regularly
provide you with news about our activities
and other interesting topics. We shall be pleased
to receive your feedback.

Burnout
|
| |
 |
More
and more people suffer from a burnout in
their job or in their family. An estimated
25% of the population in Western Europe
suffer from this syndrome. To have a burnout
means more than just to be tired and exhausted.
It means to have a serious crisis touching
the foundations of one’s life. The
sooner people concerned become aware of
what is happening to them, the better is
their chance to recover.
|
|
| |
|
| |
Marcel
had a burnout himself a few years ago and knows
about the issue. On the basis of his own experience,
his training and courses of studies in psychology,
and his work as life coach he developed a course,
together with Ursula. This course is especially
designed for people in a crisis, who have come
to a turning point in their lives. Participants
will fix their position and develop new strategies
to cope with their job, their family and their
life. They will find out what has gone wrong up
to now and how to change their behavioural patterns
positively.
This course will be offered in German and Spanish.

Modern
Arnis with Ursula |
| |
 |
Apart
of the Qigong and Taiji lessons you can already
take with Ursula, as of now you can also
train modern Arnis with her. The training
with bamboo sticks is part of the training
course we mentioned above, but anybody interested
in experiencing how to adequately deal with
one’s own aggressions (and that of
others, too) can book a training lesson with
Ursula.

Riding
lessons with Lena & Nina
|
| |
 |
Lena
and Nina have been with us since winter 2006
and have already settled well at Finca Verde.
While Markus and Andrea stay in Switzerland,
these two direct the riding centre, take
care of the horses and, of course, of our
guests, holding classes and guiding the trail
rides. Up to now we have had only positive
feedback about their work and we are very
happy to have them here with us!
|
|
| |
Lena is going to design a course for
horse owners or people who work with the same horse
on a regular basis. Participants will learn about
how to build up a lasting, respect- and trustful
relationship to their four-legged friend. |

Goodbye
to Luna |
| |
 |
We
have very sad news for you: Luna has passed
a week ago, absolutely unexpectedly by all
of us. She was a wonderful horse who has
taught riding to so many of our guests. We
have suffered a great loss with her death
and are still very sad about it.
She has
left a big gap here!
Lena has written some
words as obituary:
|
|
| |
First
I would have described Luna as a little clown.
She had a very expressive face, she
laughed, pulling faces, poking her tongue out on
me… she was the only horse who ever allowed
me to play “catch your tongue” with
it. Whenever she could, she stood close to the
gate,
interested in everything that happened outside,
grimacing from time to time and hoping to receive
some cuddling.
She loved to have her ears cuddled, her forehead
and her neck.
She was the most reliable horse for all, for kids
or adults, for the anxious or the experienced. Luna
was very talented at doing circus lessons and she
was always joking with us and made us laugh during
the lessons.
She had a big heart, was considerate, charming
and always ready for posing for a good photo, she
had
a good humour, was reliable, responsible… and
a very good friend. That was Luna.
I will always keep her in good memory. Lena |

Congratulations to them, we wish them many
more years together

Tenerife:
A new fun park in the south |
| |
 |
In
the south of Tenerife, near Adeje, there
will be Europe’s biggest water-adventure
park: Siam Park.
On a plot of 180.000 square metres will be
built a mixture of leisure park and water world
with shoots (there will be the second longest
shoot of the world) and other water sports
attractions. There will be an exotic park with
some animals, all designed in an oriental style,
paying tribute to Thailand (Mr. Kiessling,
the owner of the park is honorary consul of
Thailand here at Tenerife).
|
|
| |
There
are rumours about a “kamikaze-shoot” of
28 metres height, ending in a shark pool… we
will keep you updated.
Another attraction will be a surfers’ pool
of 155 metres length and 30 metres width with waves
of up to 3 metres height. There are plans to hold
surfing competitions there.
As is to be expected from the owner of Loro Parque,
a visit at Siam Park will be an unforgettable experience! Homepage
